Often some friends of mine and acquaintances of mine, has reported that when formatting Restore the defaults / Factory Settings the devices Motorola Moto G , Moto G2, Moto E, Moto G3 , Moto G4 , Moto X , Moto X2 , Moto Z , Moto G5 with android 5 lolipop, 6 marshmallow and 7 Nougat, they lock on a screen with the following sentence: ” This device has been reset, To Continue, Log in with a Google Account that has been previously synchronized on this device: (insert your email). I’m going to be fine. But what’s causing some furor is the fact that the device doesn’t accept any previously synced Google account, which leaves the device permanently locked!

There are already on the internet unlocking methods for the motorola line with old security patches. But still had not managed to find a way to unlock the devices with latest security patch from January / February 2017,
But after much breaking head I managed to establish a new way to unlock the Google account of most Motorola Recent handsets! As the tutorial is extensive I ask you to read carefully and follow the step by step with due care, and the result will be positive!
Advantages of the tutorial:
- No ROOT required
- It is not necessary to activate USB debugging (USB debugging as many know is unavailable on devices with security patch as of October 2016).
- No computer/PC required
- No need to Install another Rom on the device
- Average procedure execution time is 30 minutes.
What will be required to perform the unlock procedure:
- Battery 100% Charged
- A fast WIFI internet connection
- And a little attention.

Step 1: The first step will be to format the device! if you’ve done it ignore and jump to the next step.

Step 2: Right after formatting and restarting the device you will be forwarded to a welcome screen, which will start the android device configuration wizard. Take an enter on the welcome button, and then connect to your wifi network to continue the procedure.
After entering the login data of your wifi network, do not click the next button yet… Click the back button and then click the “Add another network” option. In the field with the name of the wifi network type the sequence: “12345” click on top of the number sequence and hold, wait for the copy/cut options to appear… among the hidden options on the right side of the cursor select the option ” SHARE “< o pulo do gato está aqui…
After clicking share will be shown options to share how… Select share via message/sms torpedo.
Next you will be taken to a message sending screen with the recipient field open, enter the number 190 in the recipient and click send the message. Soon after, within the message that was sent to 190, it will probably give error in sending obviously. Pay attention to the menu bar of sms, there you will be able to see an icon of a phone click on it.
You will be taken to the dial pad of the device, delete the number 190!
Step 3: Enter the code *#*#4636#*#*
Soon after you will be taken the battery test options/GSM signal/device status.
Select the usage statistics/battery statistics option or any other menu option that exists inside it is the arrow<- voltar em seu canto esquerdo superior. Click the arrow next!
Voila! You will be taken to the device settings menu as in a magic pass! Now attention, you will need to enter the apps menu! Careful not to squeeze back, if you won’t have to repeat the whole step by step to get here again!
Already inside apps, maybe you will need to click on the three dots that exist in the upper right corner of the screen and activate the show system apps option! Browse through the apps in the list until you find the Google app. Which is present by default on Motorola.
Within the app options click on the last option of the called list, App Settings/App options. or if there are none of them, click the gear in the upper right corner of the screen. (Android 7 Nougat).
Then notice that you will be taken to google app settings, perfect! Enter the settings option and then look for the enable now cards, or Feed, or Google now cards option. Activate the option!
And voila again, you will be taken to the Google search screen, then enter Chrome , the Google Chrome application will be displayed in the results click on it.
Step 4: You will now need to download and install the application that will unlock the device! Just sign in to chrome normally and skip any existing setup or login steps.

Install the app normally, and then open it! It’s likely that installing apps outside of Google play is blocked, so go to the device’s security settings, and click/activate the option under Install Apps from unknown sources!
Continue the installation of the application normally, open it…
With the open application check the option ” Setup device Owner “.
An option will appear alerting you that your device will be encrypted, plug your phone into the charger and confirm by clicking Encrypt Phone/Encrypt Device.
The device will restart again, repeat the entire access procedure to the settings of the locked device. Steps 2 and 3 of the tutorial!
The only difference is that when you enter google search again instead of you, open the Chrome browser in Search, you will type DOWNLOADS : in the result will be shown the link to your recently made downloads, click on the icon.
Then open the Application you had downloaded again, click setup device owner again, Setup.
You will be alerted that to use the device, you will need to configure it.
Maybe the device restarts, or not… and you will then be taken to a screen ” To add account select the corresponding option bellow…..” Just check Skip And then click Next. And finally on the next screen click Finish! Phew you did it! if all goes well, you will already be forwarded to the home screen of your device, and you can now use it again!
