There are several inexpensive and easy-to-handle automotive diagnostic equipment solutions on the market, but some interfaces purchased from China come with problems or are delivered with software that does not work properly on most vehicles.

With the equipment connected to the notebook, you simply install and open the UNIVERSAL OBD SCANNER program to gain access to the control panel, and select the automatic search for communication protocols, and also the serial port where your ELM327 USB cable is connected!
The interesting thing is that if, your computer disposeof a Bluetooth adapter or Wifi you can also buy a wireless interface to use in conjunction with the program that will also work!
With the program you can:
Perform diagnostics of electronic injection of the vehicle, as well as check and erase the fault codes of the car’s fault history.
It also allows to perform test of actuators, such as coils, idling actuators, fuel injectors, egr gas recirculation electrovalvules and Canister.
And last and not least, with the programs you will also be able to check the operation of sensors connected to the vehicle, such as:
- Position sensor of acceleration butterflies, or TPS sensor
